Dave receieved an invitation for the Longines Royal International Horse Show, Hickstead to jump on the Nations Cup team with Cian O'connor, Shane Breen & Dennis Lynch. Dave scored 12 faults and 5 faults and the team came 4th.

CB Intermission, Dave' s usual ride, was borrowed by Billy Twomey for H.O.Y.S and was crowned speed horse of the year 2005 and also won the Zinc Management Cup. Billy also borrowed CB Intermission for Olympia to gain placings there as well.
