18th October 2009

Dave had a day to remember in Saint Lo, France today, finishing 2nd in the 10,000 Euro Grand Prix on Charles Britton and Linda Wright's 'Ulot'.

He was one of only two double clears over a huge track.

Dave is so thrilled with 'Ulot', he said he just performed brilliantly today.

He also had a great result on 'Luikka' for Dave and Fiona Murray earlier in the day,he was 6th in the Small Grand Prix, but at 1.45m+ it was a big track.
She jumped a great double clear, amazing result for a 7 year old.

'Sabatini' also jumped very well, clear and placed in the opening speed class.

I wish I could have been there today to see Dave do so well, I am wondering what an earth he must have had for his tea last night! to come out and have such a brilliant day.

He did the right thing earlier in the show to take 'Ulot' and 'Luikka' quietly and produce them for the final day.

I will look forward to him arriving home tomorrow morning some time, if he catches the 11pm boat from Portsmouth, he will be home mid morning.
The journey will not seem so bad now he has gone so well.

Charles and Linda are going to call round for a glass of Champagne this evening, it is important to celebrate!
